It was a good weekend out in the San Rafael Swell.

Charlie Dog’s favorite creek. He may or may not have fallen in when we got there. Dignity isn’t his forte.
The storms finally broke and we had some sun today.
This afternoon’s view off the rim. Bryce Canyon National Park
From my new blog, Bryce or Bust. It chronicles my awesome, but also slightly ridiculous, life living here at Bryce Canyon National Park.
Well everyone, it’s official. I now have a permanent position working for the Bryce Canyon Natural History Association! In the last two weeks I’ve packed up all my belongings and driven them up to my little cabin that is about 100 feet from the rim within Bryce Canyon National Park. It is a dream come true and I am so excited to share even more adventures from around the west. My cabin has no cable/internet so posts still might be a bit thin, but for now enjoy a pic of me and Mr. Woof surrounded by the glory of our new home!
Sorry posts are still scarce. I’m in Utah for one more night… Here are some spindley legged baby pronghorns from Bryce Canyon to make up for it.
Beautiful morning in Zion. I’m staying at a hotel and it is obviously a way different experience than camping. I figured since I camped in the extreme heat a few weeks ago I could splurge on a hotel - it’s 114* aka too hot to do much of anything…
Can you find my yellow tent? It’s by the little waterfalls and pool filled with brown trout. We had a tiny path from the campsite that went down through the grass to the creek and it was perfect. Charlie Dog and I went in the water almost every day. Calf Creek Campground might be one of my new favorites, top three for sure.
